Since 1981 – we’ve been there, done that…what is experience worth?

History of Maxama:

1981 – Maxama was incorporated in 1981 as a security guard and private investigative company in Peterborough. George MacDonald was the President and General Manager.

1999 – Maxama had roughly 25 full time licensed security guards on staff and a mobile patrol car for alarm response and patrolling.  Aaron MacDonald supervised our security staff and was the main patrol guard responding to alarms and patrolling our client sites.

2016 – George MacDonald, President of Maxama Protection Inc., officially retired.  George continues to offer consultation services.  

2000-2020 – For 2 decades Maxama remained on a steady growth pattern and increased our staff to roughly 80 full time and 6 mobile patrol vehicles.   Lou Eftaxias joined our operations team in 2005 and has been an integral part of our business. 

2018- Maxama assumed the operations of Frontier Security in Belleville, adding 15 security staff and numerous contracts in the Belleville and Quinte areas.

2022 – Maxama acquired the shares and operations of Kawartha Guard Service, adding 20 staff and a variety of clients, including mining operations, bylaw enforcement and special events.
